New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, LA 04-29-12 JEFF T VERSION ; REMASTERED BY FANATIC RECORDS 29.04.2012 - New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, LA |
1 with Michelle Moore 2 with Dr.John + Rob (Fanatic Records) Notes: Originally this show was recorded and uploaded on Dime by JeffT3881. Out of courtesy, I contacted Jeff and received his okay before working on this project. So many thanks to Jeff for his work and generosity! While the recording was captured very clearly, I think you'll agree that the volume needed to be raised. In addition, I brought up the bass and just lightly the middle. The only editing was very minor with moving the intro to "Jack Of All Trades" from the previous track to the same track as "Jack." The track separation works fine for 2 discs without any type of editing. New artwork was also created for the occasion. I hope you enjoy this enahanced version. || Source: Core Sound HEBs (dpa 4061S) > Core Sound Battery Box (Bass Filter On) > Sony PCM-M10 (@24/48) ; (@20 heads from VIP barrier, one person from center right rail) ; Transfer: PC > Audacity (Edits, Fades, Amplify +1db, Tracking, >16/44 WAV) > T.L.H. Very crowded, hot, slighty abbreviated set w/ several Seeger Sessions reprisals from Bruce's previous Jazz Fest show. More than a few songs feature the crowd w/ sing-a-longs, clap-a-longs, Bruce out in the crowd, etc., but what else would one expect? Sound seems fine otherwise. Samples below. Recommended disc splits as indicated. Hope you all enjoy! + Brucebase (29.04.2012): Springsteen plays The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for the second time. Kicking off at 4.43pm due to the traditional 7pm curfew, several songs from We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions make their tour debuts in a set that clocks in at just over two-and-a-half hours. The Apollo Medley is skipped for the first time this tour. Dr. John joins Bruce on stage for Something You Got, a song that has been covered before between 1972 and 1974. Rocky Ground includes a full version of When The Saints Go Marching In at the end. Patti Scialfa is absent once again. |
