1 with Tom Morello 2 with Michelle Moore + JB Notes: Another three hour blowout from the Bruce Springsteen Traveling Revue. Tom Morello still there. Four great songs from Darkness. Great solo from Nils on Youngstown. Nice tribute to guitar tech Kevin Buell. His 1000th show!Recorded from the front of Loge 14. I have no idea where Josh Brolin was sitting. All songs complete. No issues. Another nice sounding show. Samples below. LA night #2. A frustrating show to some degree. Had a hard time loving this one. Too. Much. Sameness. Kept hoping for big setlist surprises but they rarely came. Remember the two landmark LA shows from April 2009? Sorry, but these two shows aren't that. Am I alone in being completely tired of hearing The Rising and Lonesome Day in exactly the same spot in almost every show since 2007? And does TGOTJ with TM have to be played at at every SOCAL show? Oh yeah, there was this. At about 7:20 Bruce came out on stage and played For You solo acoustic. Imagine that. Place 80% empty. I was just getting there and saw most of it, but no didn't get it on tape. Hopefully someone did. || Sonic Studios mic>Edirol R-09HR>ProTools (for eq, level adjustment, compression, and song separation)>flac. || Taped and mastered by JB. Please don't sell. If you upload this show on another site, include all the text info above, especially the NO LOSSY part, but please do not upload this to any site that has anything to do with Lossy formats. + Brucebase (27.04.2012): Audience tape (by JB). Early-birds in the LA Sports Arena get an unexpected treat - an hour before the show Bruce appears on stage with a party of relatives and plays an acoustic version of "For You". Then they all went back offstage. This kind of event isn't unprecedented - Paris in 2003, for example. The 3 hours set opens with "No Surrender", the first of two premieres from Born In The USA - "Bobby Jean" is the other. Tom Morello joins Bruce on stage for the same songs as last night. |
